TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR THE SALE OF TILE & STONE
- Prices quoted are exclusive of GST and are ex-warehouse (Sydney). Prices are valid for 60 days unless otherwise stated. Prices in this price list are valid until next price list.
- Payment Terms are strictly prepaid unless by prior arrangement.
- Quotations: Please check all details have been priced; O+M will not be responsible for any omissions. Quotes are subject to stock availability.
- Any shortage, damage or breakages must be notified in writing WITHIN 48 hours of delivery. Title of goods will not transfer until all invoices are paid for in full.
- The Company shall not be liable for any damage or breakage that has occurred after delivery has been made, or for any loss incurred by the customer as a result of damages.
- Please examine goods on receipt, in no instance shall any claim be made that is greater in amount than the actual invoice value of the goods claimed to be faulty. Installation is deemed as acceptance.
- No claims will be recognised after fixing, the purchaser and installer are to examine all tiles on receipt.
- Hold orders: All potential orders put on “hold” will be held for a period of 3 business days, and will automatically be put back into stock after this time.
- Tile Shop Free Delivery: (Conditions Apply) strictly within our Sydney metro delivery area. This will apply to all customer account holder with each invoiced order in excess of $350 (+ GST). Otherwise, normal delivery charges apply. There must be a forklift at store/warehouse for pallet size deliveries, otherwise, other arrangements need to be made.
- Storage of special orders & orders placed must be collected from the warehouse, or delivery arranged within 35 days, or storage cost of $4.50 per week per pallet/crate will be incurred.
- Full-size samples are charged out by O+M at less 20% of the price.
- Please make sure your customer orders enough to complete the job, as we can’t guarantee the same batch.
Tiles
- Minimum quantities One carton, please call for prices if you need to order less.
- Returns will be charged at a 15% handling fee + delivery fee if applicable. Minimum returns will be 3 cartons of the current batch of original un-opened packing. No returns will be accepted after 30 days from the date of invoice. Returns must be approved by contacting the office. An RRA form (Return Request Advice) will be faxed to you that must be completely filled out and attached with goods on return.
- Shade Variations are inherent in all clay products; The Company accepts no responsibility in respect to crazing or variations between samples shown to the buyer and actual tile samples.
- Tile Shop samples will be provided at the time of set-up. However, more expensive pieces, such as Bullnoses, Mosaics, Stone and Feature Tiles will be charged at a discount rate. All subsequent samples will be charged.
- Mexican tiles are sold by the covered metre.
Stone
- Lead Times quoted are approximate and exclude the August quarry shutdown period. Lead times are from receipt of written order confirmation and payment of 35% deposit.
- Payments & Deposits. Stone is strictly prepaid (including store accounts). We require 35% deposits for special orders with the balance payable on receipt of the stone in our warehouse.
- Sealing & Aftercare. All natural stone requires sealing prior to completion of installation and adequate maintenance. We can supply maintenance information covering sealing and aftercare. O+M recommends Lithofin MN Stainstop sealant (please follow manufacturer’s instructions).
- Shade Variation:
- Stone is a natural product and variation is to be expected, it is what makes natural stone beautiful & unique. Quartz veins, tonal variation, batch variation, colour variation, fossils etc are nature’s way of making your stone unique and desirable.
We work closely with the factories and quarries in providing the best selections, however, stone variations are not defects and we ask our customers to understand that variation are to be expected. Our company shall not be liable for such variations. - For large projects we recommend that stone be viewed in our warehouse to manage the expected and
accepted variation.
- Stone is a natural product and variation is to be expected, it is what makes natural stone beautiful & unique. Quartz veins, tonal variation, batch variation, colour variation, fossils etc are nature’s way of making your stone unique and desirable.
- Returns:
- We do not accept returns on stone that are being returned for variation unless we agree that the variation is beyond an acceptable level. This is why we encourage pre-delivery inspection at our warehouse.
- Stone ordered a special order (indent) is non-refundable or returnable.
- Claims cannot be the made after the stone is installed. Installation is deemed acceptance.
- In the event we authorise return of stock, the collection of the stock to be returned, will be charged for at the normal HI-AB rate.
DELIVERY INFORMATION
SYDNEY METRO HI-AB (site deliveries)
As per quote
We highly recommend that crates of stone be delivered to site by HI-AB.
Our HI-AB deliveries are UNTIMED so please advise if you require a call on approach and we will instruct the driver.
The driver will make every effort to deliver your crates where you would like it, however, he will only unload in an area if he deems it safe and reasonable, otherwise, they will be delivered to your gate or footpath area. Please
ensure you have made labour arrangements to move your delivered stock if necessary.
Failed HI-AB Deliveries will be charged for, so please make sure someone is on site to sign for and oversee the delivery. The truck size is approximately 11.5m long, 2.5m wide & minimum height of 3.6m. It is your responsibility to advise us of any potential problems with a HI-AB delivering your stone and/or tiles; too steep, inaccessible driveways, street weight limits, delivery time restrictions, nowhere to park or pull up etc. as these result in a failed delivery, redelivery will be charged for.
Trucks with forklifts on the back are available on request.
Additionally, if a forklift is available on site we can offer a more cost-effective service please contact us for quotes.
